Handknotted in the traditional weaving town of Heriz located in northeast Iran. Often referred to as the 'Prince of village rugs.'
An incredibly dense and heavy weave. Heriz rugs are amongst the strongest and most densely woven of all Persian rugs.
An imposing bold central medallion floating on an earthy red field with a contrasting and unusual black border. Attractive moss green and ivory highlights.
Bold geometric designs and muted natural dyes makes this Heriz rugs a popular choice for settings with simple contemporary furniture.
Woven over 50 years ago, the rug is in perfect condition.
