Description
The highly skilled, traditional weavers of the small city of Josheghan have been producing their unique style of rug for centuries. Josheghan rugs are characterised by their excellent, densely hand knotted construction and unique diamond shaped medallions, made up of smaller and more intricate, inward diamonds.
This particular vintage piece is in excellent condition for its age (woven c.1950s) with only limited signs of consistent wear within the pile. The vibrant dyes have matured into a beautiful soft colour tone, unique to high quality vintage Persian rugs.
